The ultimate white Rhone blend! Edward Sellers' 2009 Le Passage Estate comprises Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, and Marsanne (three of the major white Rhone grape varietals) to create a rich white wine, bursting with intense fruit flavors and aromatics. Each of the grapes were sourced from Edward Sellers' estate vineyard in Paso Robles where the growing conditions closely resemble those of the southeastern France, providing an ideal setting for producing Rhone-style wines. These three varietals bring unique qualities to the Le Passage Estate and complement each other to make a well-rounded, nicely balanced wine that's full of flavor. Grenache Blanc provides the nice acidity levels that add a refreshing crispness to the finish of the wine. The Roussanne brings floral, herbal notes to the aromas and flavors of honey and pear to the palate. The Marsanne provides the deep golden color, flavors of honeysuckle and melon, and a smooth honeyed texture to round out the wine. Together, the three grapes complement each other so beatifully, that it's no wonder this blend is among the winery's most popular white offereings. [+]
