Elizabeth M. Walsh

Liz Walsh's practice is focused on domestic and international construction projects. She provides experienced counsel to clients first drafting and negotiating required project-delivery contract documents. She advises project teams as they identify, manage, and settle claims that inevitably arise over the course of a project's construction. She also has first-chaired resolution of disputed claims that may remain after a project is completed through mediation, arbitration, trial, and appeal.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2011, Liz litigated construction matters on behalf of clients such as an Italian cement manufacturer defending against multimillion dollar delay, interruption, extra work, and wrongful termination claims before a JAMS Arbitration Panel; an EPC contractor defending against a subcontractor's multimillion dollar delay and breach of contract claims before an American Arbitration Association Panel; and a nuclear decommissioning contractor asserting quarter-billion dollar wrongful termination and breach of contract claims in a state court jury trial.
