Ember Lou Larson

I was born in a small town along the Missouri River in the Midwest, actually in the same hospital my mother was born in. I lived in South Dakota until I was twenty years old. Then, I traveled south and made my home in the desert mountains of Northern Arizona .
I began professionally performing my own material back in South Dakota at local coffee houses and bars. I sold hundreds of homemade albums and got very comfortable as a performing musician. My influences range across a number of genres. Here are some of my favorite artists throughout the years: Tori Amos, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Ennio Morricone, Nick Drake, Elliot Smith and many more. In the Spring of 2011, I wrote, produced, directed, and starred in the folk opera The Severed Kingdom. I have been nominated for a Buckey Award for Excellence in the Arts: Outstanding Musician of the Year in 2011 (top ten finalist) and 2013.
