Although other parts of California experienced damaging spring frosts during 2011 harvest, Santa Barbara had some of the most consistent weather and the grapes show it. Gypsy is a blend of Grenache, Mourvedre, Cinsault, Counoise, and Syrah from Camp Four Vineyard and Rodney’s Vineyard, both in the Santa Ynez Valley. On the nose are hints of black raspberry, baking spices and sandalwood. Flavors of red plum, black cherry, and dark chocolate can be enjoyed on the palate.
