In September of 2013, long-time friends and collaborators Matthew Cassillo and Dennis Ryan set about writing and recording a set of songs that dealt with their personal and shared anxieties, fears, and relationships surrounding the concept of death. The duo dubbed themselves Family Ghosts, and on Halloween, this collection of rough demos was released as 'Twist and Shout with Family Ghosts'. In the days directly following its release, the set of songs and its lead single 'Zombie of Love' received press coverage on several blogs. The band did a single interview, and shortly after, faded back into obscurity, removing the set of songs from the internet and disappearing from social media. A year later, in November of 2014, the band came out of hiding, revealing that they had rounded out their lineup with the addition of their close friends Brad Bosenbeck and David Walsh on drums and bass, and were currently in the studio recording a new EP and rehearsing for forthcoming live dates. Their new single, "Terrible People," was released on April 16, 2015 and a new album is forthcoming. [+]
