Francisco Gomez Rueda

Francisco Gomez Rueda's practice is primarily focused on cross-border banking and finance, derivatives, and capital markets.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2015, Francisco worked as senior in-house counsel for one of Colombia's largest banks, where he advised trading floor representatives on transactions related to capital markets and derivatives transactions, including ISDA master agreements and global master repurchase agreements (GMRAs). During this time he also led the team in charge of implementing chapter VII of the Dodd-Frank Act within relevant areas of the bank. In addition, Francisco practiced at a large Colombian law firm as a member of its banking, finance, and capital markets practice, where his work included advising clients in debt and equity offerings in local and international markets (Rule 144A and Regulation S), derivatives transactions, and syndicated loans.
