Fuli Cao's practice involves the tax and business aspects of international transactions between China and other countries and regions, including inbound and outbound China investments, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations and restructuring, structured financings, and tax dispute resolution. He also advises on private equity, fund formation, and labor and employment matters.

Fuli advised General Electric in its acquisition of the Salof group of companies including interest in Beijing enCryo Engineering Co.; Oclaro in the sale of its laser diodes, optical amplifier, and micro-optics businesses; United Pacific Capital Partners in the formation of several offshore funds; and various multinational companies in their reorganizations including special (tax-free) reorganizations and China information tax filings of indirect transfer of equity in China resident enterprises. Other clients he has advised include AngloGold Ashanti, Apple, Diebold, ETS, Koch Industries, PolyOne, Qualcomm, Scotts, Textron, Timken, Total, and Worthington Industries. [1]
