Ghost of a Cowboy

We tend to make loud, rock-based noises to please your eardrums.

Hey everyone!
We are Ghost of a Cowboy!
We are really excited to start bringing you some brand new Music, Photos, and info about who we are as a band! We are working hard writing and recording so keep an eye and ear out for new stuff as it rolls around in the next month!

Ghost of a Cowboy came together in late 2011 through 4 loosely connected people at Belmont University. Robert, Allen, Stephen, and David all knew each other in some way, but had never thought about playing music together. On a late night in the studio while Robert and Allen were doing some work the idea to get a band together came to light. After a lot of talking and planning the four finally got together and began writing music together. Our Motto as a band is to be Big, Loud, and Full of Soul, and to write music about what is important to us. Our Music is not about politics or government, but family, friends, anger and adversity, life and love, troubles and triumphs, and all the things that make life interesting.

Ghost Of A Cowboy blends passionate rock ballads, catchy melodies, and the full sound of twelve string acoustic guitar, with dirty south rock and roll, big guitar solos and memorable lyrics to create a music to help you feel the meaning behind the words. With Robert and Allen sharing lead vocal duties, expect tasteful harmonies, call and response, along with grungy rock and roll with big chorus's from this new up and coming Nashville act.

Oh! and in case you were wondering about the origin of the bands name, here are a few elements that contributed to it! Robert is from Texas, the lone start state, Stephen and Allen both are skilled horsemen and were Cowboys on cattle ranches when they were younger, and David's family is originally from back country North Carolina so he falls in the natural born red neck category!
