Gregory Hyde

I’ve been a full-time professional musician based in the Chicagoland area for the past 9 years, entertaining fans at concerts, festivals, parties, and the occasional impromptu commuter train jam session.

I picked up a guitar at age 15, skipped college, played all over Tulsa, OK (my hometown), toured the U.S. with a signed group as a backing guitarist/vocalist, performed live on several notable radio shows, had my songs placed in award-winning films, documentaries, & cable television shows, have sold over 6,000 copies of my independently produced albums, garnered a Billboard Music World Songwriting Competition award for the Rock category, and still play upwards of 200 solo acoustic shows a year.

I've had the privilege to tour with and open shows for artists like 10,000 Maniacs, Sister Hazel, Los Lonely Boys, The Smithereens, Pat Benatar, Edwin McCain, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Tesla, Guster, and many others. [+]
