Gregory P. Silberman

Greg Silberman advises emerging and industry leading companies on privacy, information security, and intellectual property issues, including evaluating and managing privacy and security risks associated with information technologies and compliance with applicable international, federal, and state laws and regulations. He regularly assists clients in developing and implementing policies and procedures for privacy and information security, cross-border transfers of data and data retention, as well as structuring and negotiating technology development, licensing, and data services agreements.

Greg has extensive experience counseling clients on their use of open source software, cloud computing, outsourcing, cryptography, mobile/social computing, big data, payment systems, biometrics, and location-based services. He also advises clients in relation to incident and breach response, proactive cyber-readiness, active defense, disaster recovery, and business continuity. His background in electrical engineering and computer science enable him to work closely with technical and security personnel to develop solutions that work for his clients and to respond quickly to technically complex environments when there has been an incident.
