Gregory Hannibal is a partner in the New York office of Latham & Watkins, where he is a member of the Tax Department and Investment Funds Practice.
Mr. Hannibal represents corporate and investment management clients on a variety of capital markets and strategic transactions involving partnership, corporate and international tax matters. He regularly advises investment management clients on tax matters relating to the formation, investment-related structuring and operation of private investment funds, as well as acquisitions and dispositions of investments.
He also regularly provides advice on the tax aspects of real estate matters, including transactions involving private real estate investment funds and REITs. He also advises clients on the tax aspects of leasing transactions.
Mr. Hannibal provides counsel to a diverse client base, including private equity sponsors, major investment firms, university endowments, sovereign wealth funds and other institutional investors.
