Hansje J. van den Noort

Hansje van den Noort represents corporations and individuals in complex business crime cases, including serious environmental crime (waste, soil, Seveso, and CITES). She also has experience in financial regulatory law, compliance advice, international sanctions (Iran, Syria, Russia), and parliamentary inquiries. Hansje regularly conducts internal corporate investigations for boards of directors and senior management.

Hansje acted as defense counsel in business and environmental criminal law cases for 10 years before serving as a senior supervisor for the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM). While serving with AFM, her focus was on services provided to the public by banks, insurance companies, intermediaries, asset managers, brokers, and investment institutions. Prior to joining Jones Day in 2015, Hansje practiced corporate criminal law at a Dutch national law firm. [1]
