Hazy Ray

SInce April 1st of 2011, Hazy Ray has played more than 150 shows. In addition to completing two successful tours (1st: of Texas, 2nd: Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, and Tennessee), Hazy Ray has played with acts ranging from Dashboard Confessional's John Lefler to Mexico City's Sour Soul. They have opened for Hunter Hayes, Everclear, and Ludacris. The band wrapped production on their debut effort "Deep and Shallow" at Houston's Wire Road Studios which was released on iTunes, Amazon, and Cd Baby April 12th of this year. Hazy Ray has been described as "Incredible" by Houston Press; hailing their song "I Keep Your Letters", "downright religious". College Station's 979 Magazine praises, "If ever there was a band suited for the dark back rooms of a New Orleans jazz club, B/CS band Hazy Ray fits the bill." The combination of Mitch's intellectual stand-up bass playing, Hayes' trombone styling, Ryan's formidable guitar skills, and Willie's relentless drumming proves formidable when articulating Ray's grunge-meets-jazz-pop writing style. After meeting in Texas, touring, recording, and taking on New Orleans, the band could not be more confident that the music of Hazy Ray is something the world wants to hear [+]
