Hello, Seattle

Hello, Seattle is a female fronted, five-piece alternative pop rock band based in Oneonta, NY. Consequence of coincidence, guitarist/songwriter Amy Maxwell collaborated with lead singer Kim Berg during an Audio Production class at SUNY Oneonta in the Fall of 2011. Needless to say, the two formed a unique creative bond, quickly developing into a full band. Their debut EP, titled Writing in Reverse, launched Hello, Seattle onto the musical scene in January of 2012. Since then, the band has established full-time members Kimberly Berg on lead vocals, Amy Maxwell on rhythm guitar and backing vocals, Frank Cicciarello on bass, Jason Psanis on keys, and Andrew Platt on drums. Together, the band crafts diverse original compositions fronted by Berg's astounding vocal talent.

With a spectrum of influence ranging from Alanis Morissette to Tegan and Sara, Hello, Seattle refuses to rest within the confines of ordinary genre limitations. Alternatively, the group offers a fresh take on contemporary songwriting with impressionable hooks, unique arrangements, and rhythmic complexity. Alongside their musical creativity, Hello, Seattle presents relatable themes of love, heartbreak, and the perpetual search for meaning behind it all.

Past performances include: SUCO's Fall Concert with Mayday Parade and Time Flies, OH-Fest 8 with the Ready Set, Roxfest NY with Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds, Albany's MOVE Music Festival, and Sullivan Hall NYC to name a few. The highly anticipated debut full-length album is set to hit the scene in the Fall of 2013. Fans, and unsuspecting music listeners alike- get ready. [+]
