hillie Lyman is a singer, songwriter, and ukulele lady that resides in Austin, TX. hillie’s music effortlessly blends folk and pop, the results of which are glassy, lovely melodies that ride the waves of nostalgia and adventure. Over a decade ago, hillie delved deeply into songwriting, and it quickly became her tool for staying present in this wonderfully busy world. Her strumming is sweet and her voice is powerful, with an ability to cut to the beauty of growing pains and joy that comes from everyday experience. hillie has played and held various residencies in Austin, at venues such as; Ruta Maya, Spiderhouse Ballroom, Holy Mountain and Flipnotics coffee space. In 2012, she co-produced and self-released her first EP "Old summer rags" and that same year set out on "The uphill tour”: a thirty-day adventure via train. That tour took her from the West to the East coast and altered everything she knew about music, the industry, and the kindness of strangers. hillie is in the process of producing her next EP and will be touring the West coast Summer of 2014.
