Prior to joining Jones Day, Ira managed numerous notable transactions, including for Alta Resources in its $1 billion partnership with Blackstone Capital Partners to acquire and develop unconventional oil and gas assets in North America; AIG Highstar in its acquisition of AMPORTS; One Equity Partners in its 50-country acquisition of the professional wound care division of Johnson & Johnson and in its acquisition of Quintiles Transnational Corp., a leading product and commercial development services company for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies; Progress Rail, a leading supplier of rail services, in its sale to Caterpillar; and the managements of Freescale Semiconductor, Neiman Marcus, and SunGard Data Systems in their acquisitions by consortiums of private equity firms.
