Iron/fox is the solo project of Nashville artist/musician Aaron Michael Irons who has been heavily involved with the Nashville music scene for the last 10 years, touring and performing with bands such as The Non-Commissioned Officers, All We Seabees, Vermicious K’nids, and Jasmin Kaset. Iron/fox is occasionally accompanied by drummer Justin Fox (of All We Seabees) and a mix of musician friends, engineers, and artists.

“I wanted to do a project over which I could have complete control. The performances, design, marketing, booking, recording and even the web development and promotion are all done by myself, and the project is a direct reflection of who I am, and what I am capable of as an artist.”
-- A. Irons

Combining various styles of classical piano, electro-pop, and indie rock, the debut record, Ontogenesis, is rich with powerful melodies, epic builds, and lyrically driven ballads that combine the last 10 years of musical influence into one neat package that stands apart from the indie-rock standards of today.

Ontogenesis is a record about what it means to be human, and how lonely, scary, beautiful, and powerful it feels to be alive. The ten songs explore the human condition and experiences we all share as we drift aimlessly through life and the universe.
