Set up by likeminded travellers, we understand what the necessities are for you, our guests. Alongside our free breakfast we also offer a fully cooked breakfast that will set you up for the day as well as a range of yummy croissants and muffins and a to die for granola!
A place to relax, unwind and regather your thoughts before heading out again. We put a spin on what a Hostel is and what a Hostel should be. Owned and run by a foreigner who has extensively travelled the globe as well as Colombia, we are dedicated to offering you a great stay as well as providing a wealth of advice on things to do, places to stay both locally and nationwide.

Alongside our free breakfast we also offer an optional fully cooked breakfast with all the trimmings or a more continental style which include yummy croissants or our banana granola. Ivy Bar out back in the terrace is a great place to chill out listening to some great music, whils also offering a selection of artisinal beers and a selection of wines. Spanish anyone? Why not take the opportunity whilst staying here to take your Spanish to the next level? Ivy Spanish school can cater to everyones needs, beginners to advanced. If you are interested please speak to reception upon arrival to see what spaces are available.

Nestled in Aguacatela, a leafy suburb of El Poblado, Medellín; Ivy is centrally located hostel just 5 minutes walk from Aguacatela Metro Station and 10 minutes walk to Universidad EAFIT. We are also less than a 5 minute walk to a large 24 hour supermarket and two major shopping malls and a hop, skip and jump to the main bus route on Avenida Poblado. Walking to Parque Lleras will take you through Medellín's 'Mille de Oro' (Golden Mile) which is El Poblados thriving business hub as well as home to a myriad of trendy bars and eateries such as Hard Rock cafe and Cucaramacara. And for those who are up for it or wanting to dust of a heavy head, why not join in the festivity like atmosphere of the ciclovia which is held every Sunday from 6am to 1pm on Avenida Poblado. The ciclovia is on Avenida Poblado is literally a 1 minute walk from Ivy Hostel.
