J. Laurens Wilkes

Laurens Wilkes' practice focuses on complex civil litigation in state and federal courts. He represents clients in the energy, construction, financial, and software industries in litigation, counseling, and regulatory matters. He has taken lead roles in breach of contract, copyright, eminent domain, products liability, and tort cases as well as internal and governmental investigations. Laurens has jury trial experience, including as a core trial team member in a significant five-week trial, and he has handled numerous hearings and led matters through all phases of litigation, including appeals. He routinely advises on complex evidentiary issues and state and federal procedural rules and practices.

Laurens' experience includes work for ABM Industries, Babcock Power, Battelle Memorial Institute, Bechtel Corporation, Bombardier, CECO Environmental, Community Trust Bank, Dresser-Rand, IBM, Jacobs Engineering Group, Johnson Electric, Occidental Chemical Corporation, SAP, and Standard Insurance Company.
