J. Patrick Elsevier Ph.D.

Dr. Patrick Elsevier has more than 16 years of intellectual property law experience with a focus on representing pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in high-stakes patent litigations and post-grant invalidity proceedings.

Patrick has successfully litigated intellectual property matters before district courts throughout the United States and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He is accomplished at developing successful litigation strategies and at effectively explaining complex, technical issues, including in connection with claim construction and preliminary injunction proceedings. Patrick has successfully represented the patentees for the human pharmaceuticals Abraxane®, a product approved for the treatment of metastatic breast cancer, and Vidaza®, a product approved for the treatment of certain myelodysplastic syndromes.
