Jacqueline M. Pasek

Since beginning at Jones Day, Jackie Pasek has developed experience in complex litigation and has been a team member on a number of jury trials throughout the country in federal and state courts. She currently is involved in Jones Day's defense of the Engle progeny smoking and health lawsuits brought against R.J. Reynolds in Florida and was a member of the Pickett v. R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co., Meeker v. R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co., and Bryant v. R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. teams, all of which resulted in complete defense verdicts for Reynolds. Jackie also has developed experience in other commercial litigation matters, including consumer class action lawsuits and insurance arbitrations. She has experience in many aspects of civil litigation, including conducting legal research, drafting motions, preparing expert witnesses, taking and defending depositions, and post-trial briefing. She also has conducted fact witness cross-examinations and expert witness direct examinations during jury trials.

Jackie is also active in the Firm's pro bono practice. She regularly attends local free advice clinics sponsored in conjunction with the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland and has represented individual clients on a pro bono basis through the Firm. [1]
