Jason Hegt is an associate in the Litigation & Trial Department of Latham & Watkins. Mr. Hegt's practice focuses on civil litigation in state and federal courts as well as government investigations. He has significant experience representing financial institutions, professional services firms and large corporations in a variety of securities and other complex civil litigation.
Mr. Hegt received his BA from Emory University in 2004 and his JD, summa cum laude and Order of the Coif, from American University, Washington College of Law in 2009, where he was Salutatorian and a senior staff member of the American University Law Review. During law school, he worked for the Honorable Vanessa Ruiz of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and in the Office of General Counsel at the US Election Assistance Commission. Prior to law school, Mr. Hegt worked for two members of the US Congress and a New York state elected official.
