Javier Martínez del Campo L.

Javier Martínez del Campo has extensive experience in cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, joint ventures, strategic alliances, competition, and recapitalizations. In addition, he has an active securities and finance practice with particular emphasis on advising Mexican borrowers in credit transactions, restructurings, and workouts. Javier also has extensive experience in competition matters in Mexico.

Among his significant matters, Javier advised Grupo Gigante, a large conglomerate in Mexico, in the negotiation and acquisition of the 50% of the shares of Office Depot de México that Grupo Gigante did not already own, and the negotiation of a Master Franchise and Development Agreement for Mexico. He previously assisted Grupo Gigante in the divestiture of its supermarket business, one of the largest M&A transactions in Mexico in 2007. Javier also advises Grupo Kuo, another large Mexican conglomerate, on an ongoing basis in connection with its financial matters, including banking agreements and the issuance of debt in the international and domestic markets. He advised Bombardier in connection with the establishment of Mexico's first aerospace park. [1]
