JD is one of the best "one man bands" that you will find anywhere. His background tracks that he uses which make him sound like a 3-4 piece band are not karaoke tracks, he doesn't order them off the Internet and he doesn't use a prerecorded program. JD programs his own tracks in his own studio that make up his exciting "one man band" sound.

JD has been playing music most of his life. It all started when his parents bought a piano when he was just 5 years old. Spending most of his time on the lake shores of Eureka, SD, JD had many musical influences ranging from George Jones and Kenny Rogers to STYX and Guns 'n' Roses. With the resurgence of country music, JD found his mark and has been playing and writing ever since.

For over 25 years JD has been polishing his talents as a musician. He has played in 6 orchestras, 5 symphonies, and performed for President Clinton on his 2nd inauguration celebration. JD has played from Anaheim, CA, to Washington, DC, stopping at some of the largest clubs in the country, including the Grizzly Rose in Denver, Billy Bob's in Fort Worth, the Eight Second Saloon in Indiana, and The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN.

Since moving to Nashville, TN, in 2005, JD has played the famed Bluebird Lounge, with country legend Mel McDaniel in 2008, the CMA music festival with Ray Scott in 2009, and on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry with Andy Griggs in 2013. JD has also played for Jim Ed Brown, Helen Cornelius, and Jett Williams.
