Jennifer Everett’s practice focuses on the areas of labor and employment litigation and counseling, and data privacy. Her experience includes defending employers against claims arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and other federal and state employment statutes. Jennifer regularly counsels employers on issues concerning data protection, including developing BYOD policies, advising on employee background checks, as well as developing worldwide policies for safeguarding personal information and cross-border data transfers.Jennifer is a contributing editor to Railway Labor Act (BNA 2012). She also maintains a substantial pro bono practice representing clients in collaboration with the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless. Prior to joining Jones Day, Jennifer was a translator and interpreter in Japan.
