Jennifer L. Stapleton

Jennifer Stapleton has experience structuring, negotiating, financing, and executing all types of complex cross-border private equity, M&A, and special situation transactions, including distressed debt and equity deals, joint ventures, private placements, leveraged buyouts, private equity roll-ups, and internal restructurings.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Jennifer worked on an extensive number of leveraged buyout transactions, including the representation of various strategic acquirors and financial sponsors in mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions of and with various enterprise software, technology, service, oil and gas, and manufacturing businesses; the state of Ohio in a multibillion dollar privatization transaction; distressed hospital and other debtors in Section 363 sales; national health care institutions and related service providers in joint ventures and sales with and to strategic partners and purchasers; and search funds in fund formation, debt and equity financings, and portfolio company acquisitions. She also served on secondment in a significant in-house capacity for an international manufacturer and distributor of household and commercial appliances. [1]
