Joanne R. Bush

Joanne Bush represents employers in all aspects of employment and traditional labor matters before federal and state courts and administrative agencies. She represents clients in individual, class, and collective matters arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Federal Railroad Safety Act, and other federal and state employment laws. She has significant experience defending clients in complex wage and hour class and collective actions arising under federal and state laws and in whistleblower actions before the U.S. Office of Administrative Law Judges and in federal courts throughout the United States. Joanne also represents clients in litigation involving noncompetition agreements, employee raiding, and misappropriation of trade secrets.

Joanne's traditional labor practice includes representing employers in labor arbitrations, unfair labor practice proceedings, collective bargaining negotiations, union election and decertification proceedings, and labor litigation arising under Section 301 of the Labor Management Relations Act. She also frequently advises employers in all aspects of labor law, such as corporate campaigns, strike and contingency planning, bargaining strategies, interpreting collective bargaining agreements, and obligations under the National Labor Relations Act.
