Jody Beggs Band

Jody Beggs grew up in a musical family near Gainesville, Fl. His Father, Brothers and Sister all play Guitar, & sing.

Jody picked up the guitar in high school and formed his first Band in 1984.

After playing locally for a few years in local clubs, he met Danny Mayo..songwriter of “Keeper of the stars’’ for Tracy Byrd “If I had you”… for Alabama. Jody and Danny collaborated in Nashville, Tn., after Jody moved there to pursue his musical career.

While in Nashville, Jody and friend Ronny McKinley lived and wrote music with the legendary Hank Cochran ( “Make the world go away” “The Chair” “Ocean Front Property” “I fall to Pieces” and many other great hits.) Hank was their songwriting mentor.

After five years wood- shedding at Hank Cochran’s Jody and Ronny formed the Mckinley & Beggs Band.

Mckinley& Beggs quickly gained popularity and a substantial following, they soon received several awards.

They were voted #2 Florida band by Florida Monthly Magazine..and Best Entertainment/Group. M & B opened shows for Major artist -George Jones- Merle Haggard-Charlie Daniels-The Judds.
In 2008, the legendary Mel Tillis – a true country icon – heard the songs of McKinley & Beggs .He signed them to his record label and they recorded two Albums. “By the Fire” & “M& B Two”.

In 2013 M&B Disbanded, and Jody is now a solo artist.

Jody recently completed his new album ‘’Paradise With You’’ He is in the process of recording his next one. With expertise in studio engineering and mixing his own music, Jody continues on his ever-energetic and happy track. [+]
