John has continued to perform in support of his material over the last few years across the U.S. & Europe, highlighted by performances at venues from the National Concert Hall in Dublin to the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago. “The Old Gang Orchestra” made it’s debut in 2013 to impressive reviews & will continue to play a major role in the 2016 schedule!

****The Old Gang Orchestra is a musical collective brought together initially to re-imagine the songs off of John Condron’s latest release on the Flipside Works label, ”…If Any or at. All”. The band made it’s debut to fantastic reviews & has continued to perform in a growing capacity w/ John throughout the last year. The O.G.O. consists of a number of Chicago area music ”staples”, banging various styles & influences into one very unique & effective musical family. Anchored by John’s working class songwriting sensibilities, the group is made up of legendary bluegrass picker Pat Otto on mandolin/mandola & backing vocals, revered jazz & rock veteran Tom Maslowski on upright bass/bass guitar, & rhythm & soul “shaman”, Doneco Nudi on drums & percussion. The lineup has succeeded in breathing new life into the material they tackle & will play a formidable part in John’s touring schedule as the months unfold! What began as a ”live” vehicle for a specific set of songs has now grown into a full on project, digging deeper back into John’s solo catalog as well as creating new material uniquely their own. Look for the O.G.O. to tour nationally this year & to release a Live album this summer to showcase the “event” that one of their performances has become. [+]
