John D. Kinton

John Kinton has more than 15 years of experience as a patent trial attorney in patent infringement proceedings, patent invalidation proceedings, PTAB proceedings, and technology litigation.

John has extensive experience in multijurisdictional patent litigation, with an emphasis on cross-border patent disputes. He has handled cases in a wide variety of venues including the major patent litigation venues in U.S. District Court, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), as well as courts in the United Kingdom, Germany, Norway, Canada and Brazil. He has experience in cases spanning a wide variety of technologies, including telecommunication systems, computer software, computer hardware, laboratory analysis equipment, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, aircraft seating systems, and water and wastewater treatment systems. John also has handled several cases involving standards-setting organizations, including patents related to the 3GPP, CDMA, h.264, MPEG, JPEG, and JEDEC standards. [1]
