He currently serves as the Administrative Partner for the global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice and as head of the M&A Practice in the New York Office.Mr. Hyland has been the principal lawyer in many negotiated merger and acquisition transactions. His clients include various domestic and international companies and several investment funds. Donnelley and Dex Media, the purchases of the Sprint Directories business and certain of the directories of SBC Communications by R.H. Donnelley, the purchase by Hachette Livre S.A. of the Time Warner Book Group, the purchase by Hachette Filipacchi Medias USA, Inc. of the former CBS Magazine Publishing, the sale by Ultramar Diamond Shamrock of its retail and pipeline assets in Michigan, the sale by Pernod Ricard of its Orangina and Yoo-hoo beverages to Cadbury Schweppes, and the sale of the New York Islanders hockey team.
