John Kim is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins. He is a member of the Corporate Department and primarily focuses on corporate finance, securities regulation, public company representation and other corporate governance matters. He represents private equity firms, investment banks, and public and private companies in a variety of financing and other transactions, including cross-border transactions, leveraged buyouts and initial public offerings.
Mr. Kim previously served on Latham’s Recruiting Committee, the committee that ensures the firm acquires the highest-level of talent.
Prior to joining Latham, Mr. Kim served as a legislative assistant to Congressman Fred Upton of Michigan and as a law clerk on the Senate Judiciary Committee and the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations.
