José A. Estandía

José Estandía is a corporate attorney with experience in transactions related to the development and financing of infrastructure projects, including among others, power, renewable energy, natural gas, and port terminals.

José has advised lenders, developers, buyers, and sellers in transactional negotiations; assisted in the preparation of corporate documentation; advised on negotiation and instrumentation of project agreements, including power purchase agreements (PPA), engineering, procurement, and construction contracts (EPC), and operation and maintenance contracts (O&M); performed analysis of permits and governmental authorizations required for the development of projects; and assisted on bid processes, including the preparation of bid proposals. He has advised on designing and implementing schemes for the development and financing of infrastructure projects, including the preparation of financing and security agreements. He also has participated in several transactions related to electricity projects called by the Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) under the modality of independent power producers and private power generation projects.
