Joseph M. Tiller

Joseph Tiller's practice focuses on complex corporate and municipal restructuring, bankruptcy, and other insolvency-related matters. He has played an active role in Jones Day's representation of companies, municipalities, secured lenders, investors, unsecured creditors, and other significant constituencies in distressed situations.

Most recently, Joseph represented the City of Detroit in its historic chapter 9 case. His chapter 11 debtor representations include Boscov's Department Stores, Chrysler LLC, Harry & David, Metaldyne Corporation, and Penton Media. He also represented the holder and insurer of general obligation debt in the chapter 9 case of Jefferson County, Alabama and a major bank in its review and analysis of municipal pension plan exposure.
