After 3 years of touring, recording 3 albums, and playing maintstage spots at nationally-recognized music festivals, I decided that the band I was in was no longer my fit. I had a strong desire to write my own songs and put out my own solo album, so without hesitation I quit the band and started my new journey as a singer/songwriter.

The year of 2012 was spent with pre-production, writing songs, and recording countless demos. This process eventually turned into my solo debut album which released in September of 2012. Upon this release, I set out to play shows throughout Minneapolis and distribute my album to as many people as I could.

After gaining momentum in my city, I set out to tour the country and expand my fanbase. I booked my first 2 midwest tours in the summer and fall of 2013, and in November I hopped onto a month long west coast tour with another nationally-recognized artist.

Traveling and meeting hundreds of amazing people have allowed me to start discovering who I am as an artist and what it is I want to accomplish with my career. My songs have connected with certain individuals, and that is an incredible thing.

Throughout my travels I have continued to progress as a songwriter. I recently released a new single and music video, and am in the process of putting together a sophomore album.

I feel very confident about the year 2014. I have learned so much as an artist, and have grown so much as an individual, and if a song of mine can help someone in need, then it will all be worth it. [+]
