“A specialist in the Piedmont blues, a true Americana sound that originated in the Appalachian foothills, singer-guitarist Karl Schwarz pays tribute to the acoustic country-blues legends of the early 20th century, including Blind Blake, Pink Anderson, Mississippi John Hurt and the Reverend Gary Davis. These traditional finger-picking Southern guitarists had a huge impact on folk, pop, rock and blues music, laying the groundwork for artists like Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, the Grateful Dead, Taj Mahal, Bonnie Raitt and many, many more.”
