Katherine Cheng is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Litigation & Trial Department. Ms. Cheng focuses her practice primarily on antitrust and competition. She has represented businesses in the communications and automotive industries in complex civil litigation and large multi-party class actions. She also maintains an active pro bono practice and has represented homeless individuals against a municipality in federal court.
Ms. Cheng earned her JD from the UCLA School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and co-founded the group Law Women of UCLA. She served as chief articles editor of the Pacific Basin Law Journal and as a member of UCLA’s Moot Court Honors program. While in law school, Ms. Cheng also briefed and argued an immigration matter before the Ninth Circuit. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Cheng served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Stephen Reinhardt.
