Kathryn T. Armistead

Katie Armistead's practice focuses on representing private employers on complex labor management relations issues and employment litigation matters. Her experience includes representing clients in issues arising under the National Labor Relations Act, including arbitration proceedings, unfair labor practice proceedings, and corporate campaigns. She also represents clients in employment litigation matters brought under various statutes, including defending clients in wage and hour disputes arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act and in discrimination disputes under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and various other federal and state laws. In addition, she represents clients in labor and employment issues that arise in mergers and acquisitions and other business transactions.

Katie has an active pro bono practice, including providing labor and employment guidance to a Chicago community organization that provides services to the developmentally disabled and working with the Lawyers' Committee for Better Housing (LCBH) as an advocate for tenants facing eviction. [1]
