Kelly M. Hoy

Kelly Hoy has a transactional real estate practice, representing real estate owners and developers in all phases of real estate acquisition, ownership, development, financing, and sale. She has experience in investor syndication and real estate fund formation, private equity, land acquisition, construction and permanent financing, project operating agreements, leasing, and construction-related agreements. In addition, Kelly has experience in public/private financing, new market tax credit transactions, mezzanine debt transactions, and distressed real estate loan workouts and restructurings.

Prior to rejoining Jones Day, Kelly served as general counsel to a Cleveland-based real estate shopping center developer and manager of a series of real estate-related private equity funds. Most recently, she also served as real estate transaction counsel to Associated Estates Realty Corporation, a national multifamily developer, owner, and operator, and was responsible for all purchase, sale, financing, joint venture, and construction transactions involving their real estate assets.
