Kenny Knopp and The Miles River Band

Greetings and thanks for giving us a look/listen! We are a band located on Maryland's Eastern Shore, but willing to travel just about anywhere.

Lead Singer, Kenny Knopp, has been writing originals since the early 90's, and is a well-seasoned live musician, both in Maryland and Florida (Key West). He plays a jumbo 12 string with a booming sound and beautiful tones, and has a rich, deep voice that can span most genres.

J. Guy George is a local musician with decades of experience on stage, teaching, making his own instruments and performing repairs on instruments locally out of his music shop. His former band, Grateful Floyd, was once a very popular local act who could be found on the Shore gigging every weekend. He plays lead guitar, occasionally bass, and also sings and writes.

Typically, set lists include everything from The Beatles to The Rolling Stones, from The Violent Femmes to Jack White, Jamey Johnson to such classic country as Willie, Merle, Hank and even the rarely performed Townes Van Zandt. Song lists can be weighted according to the venue and the audience involvement.

"Kenny and his band offer up a cool break from the dog days of summer." said Suzy Moore, Avalon Theatre (Easton, MD) house manager. "They play feel good music by just about everyone from the Beatles to The Violent Femmes and classic country favorites from Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, and Hank Williams. Kenny has been playing music for as long as I can remember. He works incredibly hard at it and puts everything he has into it.".

Knopp's music walks the line of pop country and Americana music, with a rocking edge. His voice leans toward country, while his music tends toward Americana and the Rock and Roll sounds he grew up on.

Knopp, the lead singer of the Easton-based band, plays a 12 string guitar. J. Guy George, formerly with the band Grateful Floyd, plays lead guitar, with Tim Redmond on bass. The vocals of Charish Arthur and drumming of Shea Springer round out the full band." - From The Star Democrat, 8/14/15
