Kerri L. Ruttenberg

Kerri Ruttenberg centers her national trial practice on criminal defense and parallel civil enforcement actions, representing clients in a broad spectrum of white-collar and complex cases. She also has extensive experience defending clients accused of violating the False Claims Act, including successfully first-chairing two FCA jury trials each involving multiple issues of first impression, winning significant victories at trial and in post-trial litigation.

Before joining Jones Day, Kerri represented a former AOL executive charged with accounting fraud and other crimes by the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission. She co-counseled a nearly four-month criminal trial, and the jury acquitted on all charges. One year later, after a seven-week trial in the U.S. District Court for D.C., the civil jury issued the same positive result. [1]
