Khalil Maalouf is a member of the Financial Institutions Regulation and Enforcement Group and is active in the areas of banking regulation, supervision and enforcement. Mr. Maalouf has represented clients on complex cross-border compliance and enforcement matters, including the resolution of administrative and enforcement proceedings involving federal and state regulatory agencies and prosecutors. He also has represented clients on matters relating to mergers and acquisitions, bank formations, private equity investments, regulatory capital, FDIC receivership, activity restrictions and other federal and state regulatory issues involving financial institutions. Moreover, he has counseled clients on the implementation of the Dodd-Frank Act and on capital and liquidity support programs, including those established pursuant to the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008. He also has represented clients on cross-border anti-money laundering, economic sanctions, banking secrecy and data protection compliance matters.
