King and Crozier is a modern folk band. Focusing primarily on meaningful lyrics and ghostly guitar, the duo attempt to craft ballads about timeless themes – love, death, religious doubt and faith, absolution, and dissolution – while keeping them anchored firmly in the comfortable tragedy of the 21st century.
King and Crozier formed in January of 2015, in the town of Lynchburg, VA. Franklin Crozier and Ryan King, in an offhand manner, decided to form a band. Nine days after forming, they performed their first song, “Benadryl Nights,” at an open mic. The standing ovation they received convinced them to begin recording together.
After many recording sessions in the clean, spacious studio of Ryan’s dorm bathroom, they completed their first EP, “Bena Nights” – composed of three songs, about two women. They intend to release the EP online, hoping to gain enough recognition for them to drop their fetter-like textbooks, turn their backs on their washed-out white-collar suburban future, and leap into the void.
