Kris Garcia's work focuses on antitrust matters for a variety of clients, including those in the health care, retail, technology, telecommunications, and energy industries. Her practice includes mergers, acquisitions, government investigations by federal and state agencies, and antitrust compliance counseling. She primarily focuses on merger review before the Department of Justice Antitrust Division and Federal Trade Commission. She also counsels clients on a broad range of issues, including distribution, pricing, contracting, and competitor communications-related issues.Kris maintains an active pro bono practice. Working with the Children's Law Center (CLC), she assists families seeking to provide permanent homes for children from the D.C. foster care system. In 2011, CLC honored Kris with one of its first "Pro Bono Excellence Awards," in recognition of her exemplary legal representation to some of the most needy children and families in the District. She also volunteers at the D.C. Bar Advice and Referral Clinic.
