Krysta Copeland is an associate in the Corporate Department of the Washington, D.C. office, where her practice focuses primarily on investment funds transactions and mergers & acquisitions.
Ms. Copeland has experience in investment fund formation, organizational structuring and the acquisition and divestiture of portfolio companies, and she advises sponsors on registration and compliance matters under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
Ms. Copeland was previously an associate in Latham's London office, where she specialized in international capital markets and securities transactions. She also has experience representing issuers, sponsors and investment banks in a range of debt and equity offerings.
Ms. Copeland is committed to the firm’s pro bono practice and diversity initiatives. She currently serves on the firm’s Recruiting Committee and as the local chair of Latham’s Black Lawyers Group.
