LAST MINET | Wiki | Everipedia, the encyclopedia of everything

Last Minet is a high-energy alternative punk rock band from New Jersey. Creating and performing 100% original music every chance they get, they have been delivering their own brand of power-infused alternative pop punk since 2006. What was originally a raw, down-and-drity all-female band has grown and evolved into the current lineup, which features founding member Zuri Fadul on vocals and rhythm guitar joined by Jovanna Cedeno on drums, Freddie Mowery on lead guitar and Shanon Munoz on bass. Admittedly, the four have vastly different tastes in music, and rock in general. Citing their primary influences as being each other, they enjoy feeding off of each other’s sounds and ideas, but the underlying message remains the same: live, breathe, eat, play music. It’s the catharsis, the way they are able to lose themselves in the sound, and the connection they feel with each other as well as their audience. Their high-spirited head-banging, rabble-rousing performances have dominated countless battles of the bands. In fact, their first gig ever was the Fort Lee battle of the bands, from which they emerged the winner - one of the reasons they are still growing today. The band went on to be awarded a slot on Van’s Warped tour two years running, in 2011 and 2012, and also have performed on BET's Music Matters. The past year has had them busy in the studio, putting the finishing touches on their first full-length album. With a global release and a lot of shows in the pipeline, Last Minet is incredibly excited to finally show the world what they are all about. [+]
