Laura Boswell

Laura exhibits a poetic and technical depth that has garnered comparisons to the likes of Regina Spektor, Fiona Apple, Nick Drake, and Ani Difranco. Her songs are honest and intimate, full of vulnerability and profundity. From the Minimalist style of Philip Glass to the Roots/Americana style of Iron and Wine, Laura’s influences span across many genres. Her debut album, “Counting Eyes,” was released in April of 2014 and can be found on iTunes and Spotify.

Laura has a Bachelor of Music in Classical Guitar Performance from Guilford College in Greensboro, NC, where she also studied classical piano. In the fall of 2013 she studied for a semester with Los Angeles Guitar Quartet members Scott Tennant and Bill Kanengiser at the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music. Laura resides in State College, PA where she teaches private guitar and piano lessons and performs regularly. [+]
