LDorado Jonez

LDorado Jonez describes his style of Hip-Hop as “medicine in the candy”, a calculated balance of “what you want and what you need”. The self-proclaimed “sub-conscience” emcee delivers content that resonates from corner stores to corner offices. Sometimes melodic, sometimes aggressive, LDorado Jonez provides street savvy lyrics through ever changing flows and cadences as diverse as his beloved Chicago. His EP, The Manifesto, is a testament to his skill and versatility.
Born and raised in Harvey, IL, a place that has become synonymous with gangs and drugs, LDorado witnessed the nightmares that most often materialize from street dreams. He gravitated to Hip-Hop culture early in life and his desire to pursue a rap career was a key factor in motivating him to avoid the pitfalls that entangled his environment. As a member of The IL.Literits, LDorado honed his skills as a songwriter as well as a live performer, gracing the stage at various nightclubs, festivals, and music conferences throughout the Midwest. Now, with the support of Gr8er Than Self, a cohort of forward thinkers and innovators, LDorado Jonez continues his path to becoming a household name through thought provoking lyrics, high powered grooves, and undeniable anthems.
