After dealing with leaky plumbing and a troublesome car while on a trip in the Middle East, Tim Leatherman dreamed up the versatile multi-tool, an all-in-one device that could do far more than a standard scout's knife. After creating the initial prototype and then being rejected by all the major tool and knife companies, Tim went on to sell their first Leatherman® tool dubbed the Pocket Survival Tool™ in 1983.
Since then, Leatherman® has become a huge success in the U.S. and more than 80 countries all around the world. Their tools nearly do it all in a convenient, compact package. The famous Leatherman® multi-tools and knives are perfect for everything from an unplanned emergency in the backcountry to a fix-it project in the backyard. They're small, tough and full of everything you could possibly need. Easy to use and always handy to have, Leatherman® multi-tools are ready for any adventure, project, or day on the job. To this day, Leatherman® continues to sell and create new and innovative products for all types of consumers. Whether you're an avid outdoorsman, a professional handyman, or an on-the-go do-it-yourselfer, Leatherman® tools will always help you be prepared for anything.
