The 2011 Alec’s Blend is a special new release from one of Napa Valley’s finest wine producers. Lewis Cellars has been producing the Alec’s Blend since 1997 (the year Randy and Debbie Lewis’ first grandson was born), and each year it offers a distinctive, powerful blend of premium Napa Valley fruit. The 2011 Alec’s Blend is comprised of 61% Syrah, 33% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, offering flavors of kirsch-like boysenberry, ripe cherry fruits, sweet vanilla, cinnamon clove, oak spice, and bramble. The palate is plush and rich, supported by supple tannins and a persistent finish. Wine Spectator says the Lewis Cellars 2011 Alec’s Blend is “Rustic, tannic and chewy with a rich, edgy core of dark berry, mocha, black licorice and espresso that slowly unfolds and becomes more streamlined, finding balance and grace on the finish.” [+]
